What Roles are Available?
As a firefighter, you’ll be trained to respond to emergencies. These situations can vary depending on your training and capacity to help, but over time can include grass and scrub fires, structural fires, and motor vehicle accidents. Training begins with General Fire Fighter (GFF) training, followed by opportunities to expand your expertise in areas such as:
Road rescue operations (Daylesford is an accredited Road Rescue Brigade).
Advanced firefighting techniques and equipment handling.
Leadership and management roles within the brigade.
Training Schedule:
Monthly Brigade Meetings: First Monday of the month.
Rescue Training: Second Monday of the month.
Firefighting Training: Third Monday of the month.
Casual Training: Sundays, including truck maintenance and additional skill-building.

To Become a Member
You must:
Be over the age of 16 (parental consent required for those under 18).
Complete a National Police Record Check and, if over 18, hold a Working with Children Check (unless exempt).
Attend training sessions and be available for emergency responses or support tasks.
Disclose any medical conditions that may impact your ability to undertake the role.
